SMCI Value Triangle
Technology:
  • We have seen a lot of emphasis put on technology in the marketplace which is one side of the triangle. Having the best technology is not all what customers need. Remember the saying: “it is not what you have that matters; it is what you do with what you have”. Product development cycle had become very short and companies are racing to push new and improved technologies and products to the marketplace which in many cases confuses the end user and indeed puts a burden on the decision maker’s shoulders. That said, the best technology in the marketplace is not all what customers need and that leads us to the second side of the Value Triangle .

People:

  • Technology alone has no value without having qualified and motivated people using this technology. Attracting and retaining the right skilled resources represents a major challenge in today’s organizations. SMCI makes every effort to recruit the best candidates it can afford and keep them trained and motivated. Motivating your employees comes from developing the sense of value, achievement and the feeling of belonging to a successful organization. This is attained by constantly assessing the employee’s readiness to confidently undertake his job responsibilities and complement any knowledge gaps by continued education programs that combine Blended Learning techniques.

Discipline:

  • As shown in the figure above, discipline represents the triangle base. In other words, without discipline both technology and people will not function productively. Having the proper discipline and well defined and communicated Business Process is key to having a balanced Value Triangle.
