• SMCI implements PMExcellence in King Fahad Medical City (KFMC) :

• KFMC is the largest medical facility in the Middle East specializing in treating rare and specialty diseases. KFMC has over 1000 beds distributed among 5 hospitals in Riyadh-Saudi Arabia. KFMC has the capacity to treat more than 50,000 in-house patients and more than 600,000 outpatients annually.
• After careful evaluation of the available tools and services in the marketplace to establish Project Management Offices, KFMC has decided to acquire SMCI unique Project Management Portal (PMExcellence) along with Project Management services
• SMCI scope included :
  • Assessment of KFMC current PM maturity level.
  • Auditing of existing projects.
  • Implementation of Microsoft EPM.
  • Implementation of PMExcellence and integration with EPM.
  • Training KFMC designated staff on Project Management, Microsoft EPM and PMExcellence.

• SMCI implements Microsoft EPM customization and report generation for Saudi Telephone Company STC:

• STC has awarded SMCI ISPMO EPM Customization Project. SMCI scope included:.
  • Build up to date reporting mechanism for EPM system.
  • Expand EPM functionalities to include some processes of project management framework such as lesson learned and change request.
  • Develop 15 Customized reports to monitor project schedule progress, cost and scope.
  • Implement Change Request, Lessons Learned, Initiation, Work Order, Payment Order forms.
  • Customize EPM Project Web Access for different Audiences.

• SMCI finalized a comprehensive Health Check contract for IBM Z9 Parallel Sysplex Mainframe server for one of the largest data centers in the Middle East operating 24x7 in Saudi Arabia:

• The Customer request came after they upgraded to the latest IBM technology and almost tripled their capacity and yet the response time has degraded. SMCI with its business part Sandpiper/WDR formed a team of experts in z/OS, CICS, MQ, TCP/IP, and DB2 and conducted a thorough study for the system and came up with recommendations that lowered the daily CICS transaction volume by 30%.

• SMCI provides onsite support on IBM DB2 for a 24x7 data center in one of the major ministries in Saudi Arabia.

• SMCI conducts a full curriculum for z/OS Operators Certification and certifies 15 z/OS operators using Sandpiper/WDR partners. z/OS operators certification is not available except from Sandpiper/WDR

• SMCI concludes z/OS training for a major Defense customer in Saudi Arabia.

• SMCI concludes a consultancy engagement to re-engineer the Organization structure for a data center of a major Defense customer in Saudi Arabia. The study entailed Organization structure, Job assignment, Job description, etc..
